Meet Our Dedicated Leadership Team
Krista Crellin joined the PPOC as a photography student over 20 years ago and has recently taken on the role of Executive Director. As Executive Director of PPOC, Krista combines her leadership skills and deep understanding of the photographic industry to advance the organization’s mission. As an artist, her heartfelt portraiture features big prairie skies, organic poses, and genuine emotion. Alongside her creative work, Krista is active in arts leadership, having founded the Moosomin Visual Arts Centre, where she serves as Chair and champions local arts programming and community engagement. An introvert at heart, she spends her free time reading books and hibernating in the winter and camping with her family in the summer.
Cheri Kellington lives in Regina, SK with her husband, two children and a golden doodle named Walker. Cheri works full time for the provincial government and has a small photography business focused on families, high school grads, pets and gardens. Cheri enjoys everything PPOC has to offer, especially opportunities to improve her craft through the challenge of competition and accreditation. She is happy to volunteer and give back to PPOC as it has allowed her to meet so many wonderful people and become a better photographer. Outside of work, family and photography Cheri likes to read, travel and listen to true crime podcasts.
Crystal Mercredi is a corporate photographer specializing in studio and environmental portraits in Alberta. She has been a full-time photographer since 2013, and is dedicated to supporting a healthy and collaborative industry with professional colleagues. Her business Life and Portraits has been recognized as Business of the Year by her local Chamber of Commerce, Partner of the Year by her local United Way, and Crystal herself was recognized as Fort McMurray’s top 50 under 50 in 2020. Within PPOC she holds an MPA, is a certified judge, and has held the positions of branch chair, regional chair, regional conference chair, and now National Director. She received a regional citation for service in 2024.
Jennifer Gilbert is a Family Portrait and Dance photographer located northwest of Toronto, Ontario. Jennifer and her family enjoy the outdoors through camping, kayaking and hiking adventures. She has been a member of the PPOC since 2011. Over the years, she has served in many roles including Central Branch Chair, Social Media Coordinator, Regional Secretary, Regional Image Competition Chair and NEC Liaison. She also developed the initial mentorship program and most recently held the role of National Chairperson. In addition to being the Ontario Director, she is also serving as National Treasurer and Past Chairperson.
Kari Carter plays a key role in supporting national governance and fostering clear, effective communication in her position as Corporate Secretary. Beyond her organizational work, she is an accredited photographer with specializations in Fantasy Illustration, Image Manipulation, and Portrait/Studio photography. Kari brings creativity and care to everything she does, valuing the opportunity to work within a collaborative community that inspires and celebrates photographic excellence. She is passionate about helping the organization grow stronger, more connected, and prepared for the future, while encouraging others to explore and share their artistic visions.
Tracy Munson is a devoted dog, cat, and chicken mom, and a fan of wine, books, and old-school punk rock. While living in Toronto, she took every opportunity to escape her rewarding but heartbreaking job at one of the country’s largest animal shelters. For many years, she and her partner explored Canada by car—equipped with a tent, a camera, two tiny dogs, and a passion for nature. After countless adventures, Atlantic Canada kept calling her back. In 2018, she answered, trading city life for the stunning landscapes of rural Fundy-Albert, NB, and pursuing her passion for pet photography full-time. Today, she and her dogs are living their happiest chapter yet.
Nathalie is a vanlife enthusiast and passionate photographer who discovered a love of the craft at age 20. She studied commercial photography at Collège Marsan in Montréal. Guided by a deep respect for people and nature, Nathalie strives to capture subtle visual stories across genres, including landscape, portraiture, documentary, commercial, corporate, and fine art photography. Her unique perspective, shaped by both her training and personal values, fuels her creativity and enthusiasm, which she enjoys sharing through her photographic experiences and knowledge.
Kathryn Gardner has explored her world through the lens of a camera for as long as she can remember and has incorporated photography into various career paths along the way. Currently operating KDG Photography Studio in Bonnington, BC Kathryn creates fine art portraits, headshots and commercial content imagery. In her down-time, you will usually find Kathryn in the great outdoors, camera in hand, capturing images of everything from wildlife to people wild at heart. Kathryn holds accreditations in Studio Portrait, Environmental Portrait, Equine, Animals and Travel Illustration.
